The Pension Commission (the “Commission”) is an independent, public regulatory authority that was established on 17 May 1999 to administer the National Penson Scheme (Occupational Pensions) Act 1998 and Regulations made thereunder. The Commission’s overall function is to ensure compliance with the Act and Regulations. It carries out this function through interaction with pension plan service providers, employers and employees in the establishment and administration of occupational pension schemes in Bermuda.
